Our History
At Zoe Freedom Center, we're dedicated to empowering individuals who are seeking to break free from addiction and embrace God's life - ZOE - in all its fullness. Our mission is inspired by Galatians 5:1, highlighting freedom's transformative power. We believe that true freedom from addiction is achieved by renewing the mind in Christ, building healthy relationships, pursuing personal aspirations, and serving others.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. - Galatians 5:1 NIV
Zoe Freedom Center was founded by Mark and Dana Brown, who have a personal passion for helping individuals overcome addiction and live fulfilling lives. Dana, our co-founder, has been free from addiction since 2003. Since the day she was freed, she has devoted her life to understanding the truth of who God says she is and helping others understand who God says they are. Her personal journey of finding renewed hope and purpose through faith and community serves as an inspiration to all who come to Zoe.
Mark, our co-founder, has spent over 30 years serving the public in the military as a first responder and emergency manager. He understands that we are experiencing a national emergency, and his expertise over the years serves Zoe well.
At Zoe Freedom Center, we offer various evidence-based services and therapies through our two programs, each with many benefits inside. Our first program is the Outpatient program that flows through the Resource and Education Center. This program offers services designed to meet the unique needs of individuals at different stages of their recovery journey.
Our second program is the Narcan program, which includes Narcan drop-in services, Narcan trainings, and the Mobile Harm Reduction Unit (MHRU). Our Narcan program provides life-saving resources and support to individuals and families affected by opioid addiction.
One of the ways we inspire hope and transformation at Zoe Freedom Center is through the power of personal testimony. We invite you to watch Dana's Story, where she shares her journey of overcoming addiction and founding Zoe Freedom Center. Her story serves as a testament to the effectiveness of our approach.

In the future, our third program will be Zoe’s in-patient program with the Residential Center. We're excited to share our future vision for expansion, which includes establishing a long-term restorative care home for those struggling with addiction. Our residential center will provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals seeking to break free from addiction and rebuild their lives. Our team will offer trauma-informed care for survivors of sexual exploitation, recognizing their unique challenges in their recovery.
We believe every individual deserves a chance to live a fulfilling life free from the burdens of addiction. This restorative care home is an essential step towards achieving that goal. The photo below represents the type of home we hope to establish.
